LaminaSaver is a clinically researched nutraceutical that enhances the body’s natural ability to maintain and protect the health of the laminae, hoof capsule, sole frog, white line, bones (coffin, pastern, etc.), and connective tissues. With it's proprietary active ingredient, Restaurex®, LaminaSaver increases the body’s capability to promote new healthy cell regeneration. Additionally, it promotes keratin and collagen formation for an overall, strong and healthy hoof environment that protects against dry and splitting hooves. LaminaSaver increases oxygen saturation of blood and tissue, promotes maximum oxygen utilization at the cellular level, and peripheral blood flow. LaminaSaver also helps to restore normal blood circulation to the insensitive and sensitive laminae. It encourages tissue elasticity, permeability, and flexibility, and, may prevent soft tissue calcification, ossification, and mineralization. LaminaSaver also protects cells against harmful toxins (free radicals) with antioxidant action, and improves resistance to viral and bacterial infections. In addition, LaminaSaver contains anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving phytonutrients that inhibit the inflammatory enzyme COX-2.

  1. Amazing Results!!

Posted by Jolene on 17th Sep 2013

My 16-year-old mustang quarter horse foundered this spring on grass. He was in a tremendous amount of pain. He had to be on a high dosage of Bute just to keep him comfortable. X-rays showed that he had 15° rotation of the coffin bone in both front hooves! Both my Vet and Farrier recommended that I put him down. I wasn't ready to give up and neither was my horse. My Farrier and Vet agreed to try and help. We started with a dorsal hoof resection to cut away all of the damaged hoof and then my horse was shod with leather shoes and gel packs to relieve pressure on the coffin bone. Shortly after, I started my horse on lamina saver. My goal at the beginning of treatment was for my horse to be pasture sound with minimal pain. After two months of treatment I am happy to report that my horse is not only pasture sound but we have been riding him without limitations!!! We are ecstatic with the results!!! He shows no signs of lameness or pain!! Yes, Lamina saver is expensive but it is so worth it!!

  2. a life saver for my insulin horse!

Posted by Nancy on 19th Dec 2012

I bought a haflinger who was chronically foundered due to insulin resistance. I started doing a barefoot trim on him which helped him tremendously, but he was still having trouble with separation and soreness until I put him on the LaminaSaver! He was finally regrown correctly and completely sounds until he got ehrlichiosis this summer. A new set of founder issues. I did everything, put him back on lamina saver and he's sound again. I just keep him on a small maintenance dose now. I love this product! It works fast! I also use it when I have horse that has abscessed, to speed the regrowth up.

  3. Amazing results.

My horse shoer recommended this. I have used this product now for two years. I'm not sure what triggers the laminitis attacks but I am so thankful that the Lamina Saver helps Xena through the episodes.

  4. Laminasaver in conjunction with Inflammasaver is a lifesaver

Posted by Nancy on 12th Sep 2012

I started this product 2weeks after my horse foundered. Used in conjunction with Inflammasaver I was able to eliminate the pain in my horse and eliminate the bute which had given her gastritis and was not eliminating her pain. She is currently pain free and that occurred 2 weeks after initiation of the products together. 5 weeks after her founder episode she is turned out wearing padded boots in a small area and is pain free. I look forward to our next set of xrays down the road and her progress that she continues to make.

  5. My Vet was impressed!

Posted by Debra - Oregon on 13th Jun 2012

One front hoof. Five degree rotation, limping badly. I'd saved a handout on LaminaSaver from the Equine Expo a year earlier. It had great reviews especially from Dr. Eleanor Killion, who my trainer knew about. I doubled the dose and at our first monthly check-up, there was no additional rotation and a centimeter added to the sole of the effected hoof. Each case is different, but sure worth a try.
    The vet was thrilled!

  6. Outstanding Product!

Posted by Janet on 31st May 2012

If you have a horse or pony who suffers from laminitis or has foundered, this can be a life saver! I used it on my horse who had foundered with a 13 degree rotation. (over weight & accidentally got out onto freshly cut grass). My course of action was months with the vet, the farrier, pads, boots, etc. and too much Bute ...resulting in only minor short lived improvements. The day to day roller coaster ride of watching my horse in pain, not knowing what else to do was killing me. I did some research and came across LaminaSaver. To me, it was expensive - however, so was the vet and farrier. I was desperate to find anything that would help - and bought the product. I followed the dosage instructions exactly as recommended and within a week there was a major turn around!!! The pain was cut in half - and within 2 weeks he was out and about. Today, I have a happy, pain free horse that I ride with no limitations!!! I credit LaminaSaver for helping to save my horse! THANK YOU!!!

  7. Tennessee Walking Horse

Posted by Dianne DenBesten on 12th Aug 2011

I took on a project this spring with option to buy at the end of this summer. That project is a Tennessee Walking horse mare born in 1998.
She has been a brood mare times two colts and mainly just a pasture horse. She was morbidly obese but no other signs of health problems. I started her workouts slow with appropriate cool downs etc. but after approx. 30 days she started to become stiff and then some lameness started. I called customer service at Figuerola with very helpful suggestions. I started her on their program of LaminaSaver, InflammaSaver, EquineSaver and their product for Metabolic syndrome. She progressed into a classic founder type laminitis but I followed the program exactly. She has lost a lot of weight and looks so much better. That mare is now back to riding. Her overall affect is bright and happy. This is the second horse that I have used Figuerola products for with amazing results. Both of my horses Thank You.
P.S. The horses eat the product!!!
I stated at the beginning of the review that I had the option to buy this mare. Update to that option is I am now in the process of making that purchase.

  8. This really works!!

Posted by Kelly Jeffers on 11th Aug 2011

My horse was diagnosed with laminitis in May so I started looking into anything and everything that might help her feel better. I purchased LaminaSaver not long after the diagnosis and she's been on it ever since. She's done extremely well, and in fact, just last week she was running, bucking, and kicking in her paddock like she was a foal again. I had x-rays of her feet taken the day she was diagnosed and a couple of months later and her x-rays back up the LaminaSaver claims. She has added quite a bit of sole and the area that was deteriorated (abscess) right at the tip of her coffin bone has grown away from her bone and will eventually be trimmed away, sooner than later, thanks to LaminaSaver!

  9. Saved my burro

Posted by Jane Nicoli 379 Lambert Rd. Fairmont, WV 26554 on 4th Aug 2011

I have a mammoth burro, Dalilah, who kept coming up lame for unknown reasons. This would usually last a week or two, I would give her some bute and it would seem to give her relief for a while. Then last year she got so bad that she wouldn't get up. I had to feed and water her wherever she lay. My vet, an equine specialist came and took x-rays, revealing extremely degenerative bones in her front hooves. We tried bute, then had to add 'nexim' because the but was causing intestinal problems, nothing seemed to help her and I was so very close to putting her down. Then my vet told me about another lady who had a horse in somewhat the same condition and she used LaminaSaver and it literally kept her from putting her horse down. He suggested I try LaminaSaver as a last resort. I did, and within a few days she was up and walking, slowly, but still, walking. It took about 2 weeks of the highest dosage and she was back to her good ole self. I can hardly believe it, but I am proof this stuff really truly works. She is now on the 'maintanence' dose and continues to do extremely well. My vet now suggests it to all his equine patients that have any type of hoof problem, and I am so very glad I tried this 'last resort' option. I highly recommend using LaminaSaver as in this case it became the 'DalilahSaver'.

  10. Saved a tough horse

Posted by Rachel Mocsny on 30th Jul 2011

My Andalusian stallion had sinker syndrome in all four hooves as a result of Potomac horse fever. 99% of horses that this happens to die from complications. Sinker syndrome is when the coffin bone becomes totally detached and goes thru the bottom of the hoof.
After nursing him thru the Potomac horse fever and getting incredible farrier care from Rood and Riddle in Lexington, I added Laminasaver to his grain(he was already on Equinesaver as a breeding stallion).
There was a noticeable difference in his pain levels but the biggest effect was no reoccurance of the founder.
It took two years to get him back to being able to ride. He now is standing with a new owner and is ridden in Parades. Super horse that a great Product helped save.
