LaminaSaver is a clinically researched nutraceutical that enhances the body’s natural ability to maintain and protect the health of the laminae, hoof capsule, sole frog, white line, bones (coffin, pastern, etc.), and connective tissues. With it's proprietary active ingredient, Restaurex®, LaminaSaver increases the body’s capability to promote new healthy cell regeneration. Additionally, it promotes keratin and collagen formation for an overall, strong and healthy hoof environment that protects against dry and splitting hooves. LaminaSaver increases oxygen saturation of blood and tissue, promotes maximum oxygen utilization at the cellular level, and peripheral blood flow. LaminaSaver also helps to restore normal blood circulation to the insensitive and sensitive laminae. It encourages tissue elasticity, permeability, and flexibility, and, may prevent soft tissue calcification, ossification, and mineralization. LaminaSaver also protects cells against harmful toxins (free radicals) with antioxidant action, and improves resistance to viral and bacterial infections. In addition, LaminaSaver contains anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving phytonutrients that inhibit the inflammatory enzyme COX-2.

  1. Tennessee Walking Horse

Posted by Dianne DenBesten on 12th Aug 2011

I took on a project this spring with option to buy at the end of this summer. That project is a Tennessee Walking horse mare born in 1998.
She has been a brood mare times two colts and mainly just a pasture horse. She was morbidly obese but no other signs of health problems. I started her workouts slow with appropriate cool downs etc. but after approx. 30 days she started to become stiff and then some lameness started. I called customer service at Figuerola with very helpful suggestions. I started her on their program of LaminaSaver, InflammaSaver, EquineSaver and their product for Metabolic syndrome. She progressed into a classic founder type laminitis but I followed the program exactly. She has lost a lot of weight and looks so much better. That mare is now back to riding. Her overall affect is bright and happy. This is the second horse that I have used Figuerola products for with amazing results. Both of my horses Thank You.
P.S. The horses eat the product!!!
I stated at the beginning of the review that I had the option to buy this mare. Update to that option is I am now in the process of making that purchase.

  2. This really works!!

Posted by Kelly Jeffers on 11th Aug 2011

My horse was diagnosed with laminitis in May so I started looking into anything and everything that might help her feel better. I purchased LaminaSaver not long after the diagnosis and she's been on it ever since. She's done extremely well, and in fact, just last week she was running, bucking, and kicking in her paddock like she was a foal again. I had x-rays of her feet taken the day she was diagnosed and a couple of months later and her x-rays back up the LaminaSaver claims. She has added quite a bit of sole and the area that was deteriorated (abscess) right at the tip of her coffin bone has grown away from her bone and will eventually be trimmed away, sooner than later, thanks to LaminaSaver!

  3. Saved my burro

Posted by Jane Nicoli 379 Lambert Rd. Fairmont, WV 26554 on 4th Aug 2011

I have a mammoth burro, Dalilah, who kept coming up lame for unknown reasons. This would usually last a week or two, I would give her some bute and it would seem to give her relief for a while. Then last year she got so bad that she wouldn't get up. I had to feed and water her wherever she lay. My vet, an equine specialist came and took x-rays, revealing extremely degenerative bones in her front hooves. We tried bute, then had to add 'nexim' because the but was causing intestinal problems, nothing seemed to help her and I was so very close to putting her down. Then my vet told me about another lady who had a horse in somewhat the same condition and she used LaminaSaver and it literally kept her from putting her horse down. He suggested I try LaminaSaver as a last resort. I did, and within a few days she was up and walking, slowly, but still, walking. It took about 2 weeks of the highest dosage and she was back to her good ole self. I can hardly believe it, but I am proof this stuff really truly works. She is now on the 'maintanence' dose and continues to do extremely well. My vet now suggests it to all his equine patients that have any type of hoof problem, and I am so very glad I tried this 'last resort' option. I highly recommend using LaminaSaver as in this case it became the 'DalilahSaver'.

  4. Saved a tough horse

Posted by Rachel Mocsny on 30th Jul 2011

My Andalusian stallion had sinker syndrome in all four hooves as a result of Potomac horse fever. 99% of horses that this happens to die from complications. Sinker syndrome is when the coffin bone becomes totally detached and goes thru the bottom of the hoof.
After nursing him thru the Potomac horse fever and getting incredible farrier care from Rood and Riddle in Lexington, I added Laminasaver to his grain(he was already on Equinesaver as a breeding stallion).
There was a noticeable difference in his pain levels but the biggest effect was no reoccurance of the founder.
It took two years to get him back to being able to ride. He now is standing with a new owner and is ridden in Parades. Super horse that a great Product helped save.

  5. He moves like nothing ever happened

Posted by Sheila on 20th Oct 2010

There is no question that LaminaSaver saved my horse's life. He experienced his first ever founder with fairly advanced rotation of the coffin bone in both fores, and accompanying severe pain resulting in colic - a horse who had in 20 years NEVER colicked. Bute allayed some of the pain but it was just 2 days into LaminaSaver that I saw significant pain relief and I had HOPE! That was 5 months ago. Today he moves like he did BEFORE the founder and in addition is healthier overall. He is on EquineSaver now and Insulin & Carbohydrate Management - just to be sure! Most "horse people" reading this will know how deeply grateful we are to have our horse back and not to have put him down (as was suggested by one vet). We are SO impressed with Figuerola's products that we are now expanding to the Human and Canine products.

  6. They work!

Posted by Susan on 11th Aug 2010

I've used JointSaver, LaminaSaver and EquineSaver with great success. I will not be without these products for my horses- they work, and even my fussy ol' girl accepts them! Thanks Figuerola Laboratories.

  7. LaminaSaver helped save my laminitic mare.

LaminaSaver helped save my laminitic mare. She is able to move around much more comfortably now.

  8. The results have been wonderful.

Posted by Lynda on 11th Aug 2010

My now 29-year-old mare Ginseng foundered a few years ago. All I kept hearing was ‘keep her off grass.’ I tried keeping her in a dirt paddock and muzzling, but that only made for a miserable horse. Then I tried LaminaSaver. The results have been wonderful. It has been three years since the last founder. Between turnout management and LaminaSaver, my precious horse is once again rideable and can graze with her buddies. Thank you, Figuerola Labratories!!

  9. Thanks for delivering a great product.

Posted by Tom on 11th Aug 2010

My 5-year-old Black Tenn Walker gelding broke into the feed room about five months ago and ate a lot of oats and whatever else he could find. I was concerned that he was going to Colic, but when he didn't I thought he was okay. That night he didn't come back to the barn, so I went to look for him. He was in a corner of the pasture and couldn't walk. I knew that he had foundered. I got him into a stall after about an hour of getting him to take one step at a time. The next morning the vet came out and confirmed my diagnosis. I kept him in the stall for a week before I could get him to the vet clinic for x-rays. His right Cannon Bone was rotated 3 degrees and the left was rotated 7 degrees. The vet recommended a low starch diet and told me to try LaminaSaver.

I kept Midnight in his stall with a thick layer of sand and shavings for about two months. He got LaminaSaver and Purina Well Solve Low Starch feed. He made steady progress, and everyday I could tell he could walk with less and less pain. After two months one of his buddies figured out how to open the latch on the stall and let him out one night. I couldn't believe it when I went out to feed the next morning and Midnight came walking across the field.

After three months it seemed like I could see a new hoof growing under the old one. Now it looks like about half his hoof has regrown. He runs and shows no signs of ever having foundered. I'm taking him to the vet tomorrow for x-rays and expect to see improvement in the rotation. Thanks for delivering a great product.

  10. THANK YOU!!!

Posted by Virginia Hoyt on 11th Aug 2010

While researching founder and how to deal with it, I came across the Horse Journal's piece on LaminaSaver that, frankly, sounded too good to be true. But I decided to try it anyway and I am glad I did! Maxx has been on LaminaSaver and InflammaSaver for five months, and has gone from being obviously in pain to being able to move easily with the rest of the herd in the pasture. The hoof growth is extreme: about 2", and all 4 feet are free of those lines usually associated with founder. Both my farrier and my vet are as impressed as Maxx and I are. THANK YOU!!!
